Join us for an experiential workshop on working intuitively with drum and voice for energy raising and personal healing. Learn how to tune in to your own intuitive voice and try your hand at shamanic drumming in an inclusive and friendly atmosphere.
We will be working through breathing exercises and simple voice work, energy raising through chanting and drumming, and gentle and powerful healing work with voice.
After lunch, we go deeper with the work. Kay and Magin lead participants on a shamanic journey to find their ‘soul song’ – a song that resonates with their very essence. Some students will get the whole song through at once, but this is quite rare. Most are given a part of the song, that will then build through dreams and intuitive work. We will guide you on bringing your soul song through so that you are able to create your own unique vibrational space for healing and meditation, wherever you are, using just your voice.
We will talk about songs of power, songs for healing, and share some of our own songs with the group. We will also channel a powerful group song to celebrate this coming together of souls for raising power and creating change, which we will all work with together.
If you have your own drum (or other instrument) please do bring along, there will also be some spares and some rattles to work with on the day.
This is a beginner’s level workshop for those wanting to learn more about shamanic practice. Prior participants have included those completely new to the healing path, as well as experienced healers and singers wanting to find out more about shamanic techniques and approaches. If you are not confident using your voice – come along, you can do voice work even if you don’t think you can sing, you will surprise yourself!
